Abstract

This study evaluates antihyperglycemic and lipid lowering activity of Caralluma fimbriata in dexamethasone induced diabetic rats. Serum glucose and lipid lowering activity of Caralluma fimbriata was tested at dose of 50 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg per oral route against dexamethasone induced hyperlipidemia and hyperglycemia in Spraugue-Dawley (SD) rats. On day 11, blood was collected for the estimation of serum glucose and lipids.
