1 publicationPhytochemical screening, Antimicrobial and Antioxidant activity of whole extract of Cardiospermum halicacabum Linn. (Sapindaceae)
Man’s existence on this earth has been made possible only because of the vital role played by the plant kingdom in sustaining his life. The three important necessities of life – food, clothing and shelter and a host of other useful products are supplied to a great extent by the plant kingdom. Cardiospermum halicacabum is one of the medicinally potential plants which is used in the treatment of rheumatism, lumbago, cough, hyperthermia, and nervous diseases. The present investigation was undertaken to screen the phytochemical analysis, antimicrobial and antioxidant activity of Cardiospermum halicacabum whole extract.

2 publicationsAntimicrobial Study of Whole Extract, Isolated Ingredient, and Newly Synthesized Analogues from Cassine glauca Plant
Life co-existed with disease, decay and death. The study of disease and their treatment is related with the human intellect. Illness has been the man’s heritage from the beginning of his existence and the search for remedies to combat the diseases is perhaps equally old. Melghat region is a rich source of medicinal flora. Cassineglauca is one of the medicinally potential plants found in Melghat region which is frequently used for the eradication of skin diseases1. The present investigation was undertaken to screen the efficacy of Cassineglauca whole extract, isolated acidic ingredient and its newly synthesized analogues on certain bacteria which are responsible for skin diseases such as Streptococcus pyogenes, Nocardia calcarea, Bacillus subtilis, and Pseudo monasaeruginosa. In comparison among the impact of test compounds; it was revealed that, the Cassine glauca isolated acidic ingredient and its newly synthesized analogues showed significant activity than the whole extract.
Synthesis, Characterization and Antimicrobial Study of Some Novel Chloro Substituted Isoxazoles
In the present study a series of 3-(2-Hydroxy-3, 5-dichlorophenyl)-5-(4-chloro phenyl) isoxazole (8a) and 3-(2-Hydroxy-3, 5-dichlorophenyl)-5-(2, 4-chloro phenyl) isoxazole (8b) have been synthesized by refluxing the chalconedibromide (6a) and (6b) with hydroxyl amine hydrochloride in ethanol containing catalytic amount of piperidine. The formation of the above synthesized compounds was confirmed on the basis of their chemical tests and spectral analysis. The synthesized heterocycles then screen for their antimicrobial activity against some kahrip plant pathogens viz. AlternariaMacrospor, XanthomonasCampestris, Pseudomonas syringae and Fusarium Spp. From the above study the result revealed that isoxazole derivatives shows good to moderate antimicrobial activity against plantpathoges.
